Top Social Networking Apps in Ukraine Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top social networking applications in Ukraine on a unified platform highlighted distinct trends in downloads and active user engagement. According to data from Sensor Tower, each app showed unique patterns.

Threads maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at approximately 76.8K weekly downloads and seeing a gradual decline to 59.1K by the end of December. Active users, however, demonstrated a consistent increase, peaking at around 1.87M in mid-December before slightly tapering off.

WhatsApp Messenger showed a dynamic download trajectory, beginning with 74.5K and climbing to a high of 89K in the final week. Its active user base remained robust, reaching over 9.4M by the end of the quarter, reflecting steady user engagement.

Telegram Messenger experienced a notable increase in revenue, culminating at approximately $794.8K by the end of December. Downloads saw a significant uplift, reaching 110.8K, while active users remained relatively stable around 27.3M throughout the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger showed modest revenue growth, peaking at $30.9K in late December. Downloads increased steadily, reaching 72.8K, although active users saw a slight decrease to 24.5M by the quarter’s end.

Google Meet faced a downward trend in downloads, starting at 18.9K and declining to 7.9K. Active users also decreased, dropping from 1.4M to 561K by the end of December.
